laid off? How do I go about claiming money from the government?

I recently was laid off and was wondering how you can go about claiming money from the government? I can't remember what exactly it's called, something like workers comp.

It is called Unemployment Insurance. Go to your local Employment office and apply for benefits.

Unemployment insurance it's state run go apply. You pay taxes for tat insurance so use it.
