It is a scam.

If you sent them your bank account number, you need to close that account and put your money somewhere else before the clean you out.

Be careful, if you win something they pay you.

Spamming scams ask you to pay them $20. What ever you do don't answer the e-mail.

Yahoo or Google their site and then contact them, don't give out any personal info.

On the site, should be a tracking number to your sweepstakes win, if it's not there, then you know someone tried to sucker punch you.

What it amounts too, look up their address on the net. If you paid a sum of money and sent it via USPS, then that becomes mail fraud, in which the Feds would be very interested in.

Best of luck with this, hope it turns out better than my answer.

OMG Do not send them any more information about yourself.
Report this to the local authorities, and ask if the local or federal government have a task force assigned to your area for fraud. I f you used a check from your checking account,
change account numbers at your bank, by closing that account and opening a new checking account. If you gave them your social security number, alert the social security
department, and request either a new number, or follow the directions from your fraud team. This is a scam that could cost you thousands of dollars, Identity theft, and criminal charges not brought about by yourself. Even if you have little
money, these people will infringe on your credit leaving you holding debt all over the world. You could loose your home, your car, and your job.

They were con men running a scam .
When you were sucker enough to send $20 ,
They decided to keep suckering you .

REAL sweepstakes do NOT make you pay any $$$ if you win .

Sorry, sounds like you've been scammed. At least it was only $20.

It's a scam. If you have to pay money to get money... you have lost money. Sorry to have to tell you this.
