The FA cup is big and respected worldwide, has a fantastic heritage and is contested by a huge number of clubs, down to the low lying non-league sides.
The Carling/Coca cola/Worthingtons/Rumbelows/Milk cup is fairly new and just feels bunged on.
Ask any footballer anywhere if they wanted an FA cup winners medal or a League cup medal and I bet you almost all would say FA!
Ask any player if they wanted a Premier League medal or a League cup winners medal and the same applies.
Ask any player if they wanted a Champions league medal or a League cup winners medal and ditto.
The carling/league cup isn't nothing, but it is 4th out of the 4 competitions.

you will desire to have selective listening to, or you will understand that the interest took on extra magnitude via Tevez v Neville situation, Garry prepare dinner's hilarious untimely rants and Citeh's billions. it rather is the Mickey Mouse cup, that's why each and every of the massive communities interior the competition initiate out via fielding their young toddlers/reserve factors. whilst they attain the latter stages they then enhance the area in accordance to the flexibility of the competition they face, via fact on the top of the day, prestigious or no, it rather is nevertheless prevailing yet another trophy, a theory that has regarded alien to Wenger over the previous few years who disrespectfully fields a reserve area against a able Premiership team interior the FA cup, once you may think of that a trophy may well be of paramount magnitude. whilst all is asserted and executed, fulfillment is measured in trophies via fact each and every thing else is totally subjective. additionally, if city had have gained i'm valuable you will have been between the 1st in a protracted queue to criticise Manchester United - you won't be able to have it the two techniques pal. Cheers dRBAd, good to be returned. Edit: i think of the reason we've been asserting that approximately Liverpool is they began going around asserting that they have got been treble winners. on an identical time as technically superb, the authentic treble is the league identify, the main family contributors cup and the Champions Leauge.

Probably out of embarrassment. It ain't as important as the league title or the FA cup, but they still wouldn't mind winning it, at the end of the day it's still silverware in the trophy cabinet.

It is the least prestigious cup to win, but it wasn't that long ago (2006) that United won it. That season they couldn't catch Chelsea for the league, they were knocked out of Europe early and we knocked them out of the FA Cup.
I'd like to bet the United fans weren't calling it nothing then. The word Hypocrite springs to mind, and can be added to the never ending list of words that you can use to describe United fans, such as Scum, Arrogant, Obnoxious etc... etc...
What do you expect Deano, United fans haven't changed since as long as I can remember, and that's 30 years and counting, not just since 1993.

Its just more extra games to play. The big ones are the Premiership and champions league, that is where the money is.
As for the FA cup that history attached to make it all the more worthwhile to win it.
