Real tree, lights on it, not over decorated, decorated only about 2 weeks before Christmas. Some tinsel on it, some of those glass balls, some ornaments from my childhood, some that my kids have made. Some decorations hanging over the doorway in the living room and lights in the window. I have a lighted angel that also goes on the tree. The kids and I decorate the tree together also.

my mum and dad didnt like christmas that much but thought they still had to do some decorating, so they found two large pair of pants and wrote happy xmas on them and then draped them over the back of the chairs!!!
I personally would like all the decorating to stop unless there was a rule that you were not allowed to buy any decorations made specifically for the purpose of christmas but instead you used up all the old junk in the bins, or lying about instead that way we solve two problems:
1/ we reduce the amount of waste we produce
2/we decommercialise christmas
howzat???

where i live everyone puts as many lights as they can on the outside of the house.
I like a big tree in the corner, I decorate the dining table with all the christmas flowers and crackers. Garland along the fireplace, and a bit of tinsel. It won't be long and it will all be going up.

I like to have a real christmas tree an go out collecting ivy and fir and mistletoe with the kids to wrap around the bannisters and mantlepiece. I got a beautiful glass crib some years ago which takes pride of place on my fireplace. All my decorations on my tree are clear glass an I dress it with gold bows. . I also like white and gold candles. I love the run up to christmas but always find the day itself deflating.

Yes yes yes!! Christmas is my favourite time of year! I love it. It has to be done tastefully though, I don't do tacky. I'm so excited already. I bought a reef for my door today and a gorgeous nativity scene. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
