My mom has anxiety attacks again after my little sister's birth and my other sister, her name is Sarah and she is 12 and my mom has her breakdowns on her. She throws things around and yells at Sarah. She does this to everyone but mostly to Sarah because she is around the most. Sarah is suffering badly! She is starting to love school because she isn't home! She cries when she is home. I saw her the other day and I saw nail marks on her legs, hands and arms and she said that it was because when she gets scared that is what she does. What am I supposed to do? our father won't help. She is scared of her own mother.

If her mom hits her its called abuse. and abuse can be physical or emotional. her mom needs some serious help. and Sarah needs help too. I could only imagine what she is going through being scared of ur own mother, she needs counsling. and time away from the house. if u are old enough and have room and the finantial support you need to take her with u for a lil while. thats what i would do. till her mom got straightened out. noone desvrves what Sarah is going through. Goodluck and God Bless.

This is deffinately not o.k.! Have you talked with your mom at a neutral point? Neutral meaning that she is not in a hard state emotionally at the moment and can carry on an open conversation.
Try this...tell her what you see as far as the fear of your sister and let her know that you understand that she is struggling and ask her if she would get help for herself.
I think if you approach her in a loving, respectful way and share your concern for her (even more than for your sister) she might be more prone to respond! People when they are approached with concern for their physical well being are usually pretty open.
Hope this all works out for you and your siblings.
God bless

Those are not anxiety attacks, they are abuse! Call 1-800-4ACHILD to have an independent investigation. They will come out within 48 hours, and you don't have to give your name.
