Well taken logically, the "equation" must be wrong: the premise is God is almighty. so yes, he can microwave that potato; and ye he could eat it. So we get stucked because "god didn't microwave it as hot as he should've", so he's not almighty. But as God reaches much more than our Logic itself, my opinion on how god could have managed this is like: "yes, i microwaved it so hot that I could not eat it although I ate it. Still, the potato was eaten. Did both"...it's not logical maybe but having in mind of God's concept not depending on time, space, matter, it makes sense. As much as we can afford with our human capacities.

The opening line of the Tao Te Ching is (or Dao, some use the D spelling)
"The Tao that can be named is not the true Tao"
Most people don't really get exactly what this line means, but when I heard the proper explanation I found out it also answers the stone paradox.
Essentially, the belief is that if you can name or define the Tao, then you can also define the negation (ie if Tao=reality, then no reality=no tao), but the negation of Tao cannot exist, and hence the initial naming or defining cannot occur.
Assuming some sort of god like being existed (I have no comment on if they do), their would reside on a system of existence far above something simple like the human mind and human logic, so trying to tack a lower system onto defining and dictating a higher system like god is a fallacy.

Hope that wasn't too far off the deepend. Does that make sense?

No, I mean yes, no wait maybe, it depends on what god we are asking about. Sounds like a puzzle wrapped in an enigma surrounded by mystery. Leave it to the Simpsons. Besides why would god need a microwave in the first place?

So in conclusion: Yes he could but what would be the point. He (or She) could just instantly cool it down to his liking anyways.

The real question is how hot would that potato be?

Yes God can do anything, and if the gift of life is choice why would'nt God want to humour himself and experience the sensation of a hot potato. Every one is assuming that ,"the too hot potato", is a negative. Why do we eat chillies then?????????

Few people realize the birth of Christ was NOT to redeem mankind, but to answers questions like this.

Yes, God can microwave a potato so hot Christ cannot eat it.

Now if the Muslims could just accept the divinity of Christ, they could be spared the spiritual trauma of deistic non-omnipotence.

:-)

God does not eat baked potatoes, he doesn't like the skin (he prefers mashed)

Oh, in other words, if He can do anything, can He make something impossible enough so that even He can't do it? Like in sci-fi robot stories? I think only in the world of fiction.

Nonsense remains nonsense even if you tag on the words God can in front of it.
