I'd hope no one I know is drafted, but I was here for the old draft and things weren't much different than it is now as far as casualites etc.
Being part of any nation brings with it the responsibilities of being a citizen.
No one really "wants" to go, but if no one did, where would our nation be today?
Fortunately all mine are too old or have served already,

I got suspended on Level 6 with 16,000+ points last week as well. Someone at Yahoo must have been in a pissy mood and didn't like I offended some poor simpleton with the truth about Global Warming mythos. They suspended me. I have appealed. Would like my original account back. Yahoo the new Pravda. Hope Microsoft buries them.

If it is a war that im for.(for example if it was against terrorist and their s9itless meaningless attacks) then, yes i would, in order to protect innocent lives. BUt if it the war was in iraq or iran, then im on the first fright train to the most outskurts of northern canada or maybe some wanderless country. I couldn't see myself being just another body being loss to a draft. I know, that we, have a higher meaning in life other than war. Armando Madrigal- Confirmed Awalt.

Yes, I would This country is worth anything it asks of me to defend it but I would join navy before being drafted am a little to old to be drafted anyway about 15 + years out of eligibilty but I still have selective service registation, If they got to my age and had to draft me the enemy had better very tough and need all males under 50 In that case if all males under 50 had to go to war the enemy had better watch out because us over 40 and under 50 are not going to mess around.
We would use all available most destructive weapons at our disposal , but I prefer peace over war as first choice, but I would not surrender at any cost...

Not worry. My husband is blind as a bat and my daughters are both under 3 years old. The only thing the army could get out of me that would be even partially productive would be how to stink bomb, TP, crank call, or drive by moonings.

I'm past the draft age so it wouldn't affect me. If I had a kid though I would pack him for Canada if he didn't want to serve.
