You do not need a 100K to invest in a business and make a lot of money. However if that is your intended investment take a small portion of that money and invest it to investigate an existing businesses that are for sale. With long history of positive cash flow.
Your advantage here is such that many lucrative businesses were developed by baby-boomers who now want to sell and retire. There however is way more businesses for sale than there is buyers. If you do your homework right, with 100K of your own money you can get into business worth anywhere between one and one and half million dollars or more.

Do you mean franchise? There are several books out there that list the qualifications and costs involved with hundreds of franchises. You can find information on anything. From McDonalds, to autocare.

One you have an interest in running, otherwise you'll find it an awful way to spend your time.
Pick something you have an affinity for or a good amount of focus on.
