SpyShredder is advertised as being an anti-Spyware application, but it is actually a rogue program that constitutes a scam. When you scan your system using SpyShredder, it creates a list of fake spyware infections and tries to scare you into purchasing and registering the "full version" of the product to remove the nonexistent threats.

SpyShredder is known to be associated with various Trojan programs, making its presence on your computer a sign that you may truly be infected with other Malware. Sadly, SpyShredder will neither detect nor remove the viable threats. The Trojans that propagate this rogue are characterized by their Windows Security Center emulators. This is a utility that lets them display a false warning balloon from the taskbar that looks like a genuine warning sent from the Security center. Clicking on one of these balloons will either install the “trial" version SpyShredder at once, or direct you to a webpage with aggressive advertising. These Trojans exploit flaws in Windows Security.

There are 2 ways to premove it. Both are free.

Those are removal instructions. If you follow them it will get rid of it. You cannot go to the controll panel and remove it that way. It will just show up again. Its an annoying program.

Try using those instructions or get someone that knows about computers and show them the intructions.

Hope this helps.

No.

SpyShredder, or Spy-Shredder, is the successor to the rogue anti-spyware program called SpySheriff . SpyShredder is installed on your computer without your permission through the use of Trojans and other malware. Once installed, the Trojans will display messageboxes on your screen stating the following:

"NOTICE: If your computer has been running slower than normal, it may be infected with Viruses, Adware or Spyware. Spy-Shredder will perform a quick and completely FREE scan of your system for malicious programs. Download Spy-Shredder for FREE now!"

What it purposely not telling you, though, is that when run SpyShredder is run it will display fake and exaggerated results and then require you to purchase the software before you can fix anything. Needless to say you should not purchase this software as the program and its accompanying malware are the actual infections.

Turn off your recovery systems (that automatically restore programs that have missing parts when you log on) and shutdown and start up in safe mode, then go search through the lines of code for spyshredder and then manually delete the lines of code for it, then restart, if you screwed up just use a system recovery
