We all strive to reach the next level. But what does it really mean? Should we be proud of ourselves if we got where we are mainly by answering riddles and jokes? Or should we use this site to give and receive real information? My questions don't express any opinion; I'm truly interested in your answer.

I answer a lot of questions regarding grammar and psychology and math. Sometimes I like to answer a few questions like "What should I eat for lunch today?"
Especially whenever I just got through typing out a 6-paragraph answer in the Words & Wordplay section. I don't answer questions for points. I answer them for one of two reasons:
I feel that I can offer some advice or assistance with the question.
Or I feel that that question is entertaining and I need to be amused.
Like my last question said, I've had 3 people within the past 2 weeks come to me with thoughts of suicide. Things get stressful sometimes, and it's nice to just be able to joke around. =-)

We are proud of ourselves to have gotten where we are mainly by answering riddles and jokes and stupid questions. If someone wants real information, P/S is not for them.

Considering that you are on level 5, and are almost free of all the limitations posed upon newbies on previous levels, you wouldn't be able to fathom what goes through their minds when it's the middle of the afternoon and they reached their answering limit.
