I am trying to find out the component number of my laptop video card. Can anybody help me.
I am having Inspiron 2650 with Nvidia GF2 Go video card. How to find out whether it is 16mb or 8mb?

start>run type in dxdiag ok it then wait.

all the info on your graphics will be shown.

your comp has an external card with memory separate than RAM. it claims either 8mb or 16 mb, no way to know unless you check the drivers...

Still this is not worth replacing since the rest of the system will also require updating. cheaper to recycle and buy a newer or newer used unit. this cannot play most modern action games besides basic online games...

Are you even sure there is a video card in your laptop?

Most commonly, video is built onto the motherboard in a laptop and sound is built in also.

Check you PC's manual to see a description of all your laptops' hardware.
