multiply both sides of the equation by 8/5 to get ?% on a side by itself. after this is done the equation reads 1/5=?%. Convert 1/5 to a whole number by dividing 1 by 5. after this is done the equation reads .2=?%. then divide both sides by % (which is the same as dividing by 100) to get ? on a side by itself because that is what you're looking for. once this is done the answer is ?=20.

it wants a percent, so I convert to decimals making
.125=X% * .625
Divide .125 by .625 to get the percentage on its own and you get .2 or 20%
