I have like five ant hills in my frontyard, but don't know how to get rid of them. What should I buy or any recommendations?

There is a product call "Terro" and it works better than any other thing I've tried. We have carpenter ants-which can destroy a house, and it even gets rid of them. You can get it in a powder, spray, or as a bait trap. If you get the powder, just drop it into the whole; they'll take it to their nest to feed their young; then they all expire...at least one hopes! lol

I begin with a teapot full of boiling water poured directly on the hills. This usually works. My daugher used to pour lighter fluid down the holes and light it. This worked also. When these two methods didn't work, I used the ant traps but I seldom needed anything after the first two treatments.

I use an ant killer that has Malathion as the active ingredient. This has worked very will, won't harm grass. It may take a couple of applications, but it does work. You can purchase it at any home improvement store.
