73,846 US troops dead I thought it was like 3,500. What evidence do we have to verify these kinds of things?

You take this seriously? That is over half the troops in Iraq. Just listen to Wolf Blitzer. He eagerly leads his every spot with the days casualties and running total.

Based on the number of troops sent there is no way this can be true, just a conspiracy theory. The military doesn't even have that many in uniform. You have to quit reading far left wing blogs.

You should have clicked through to the source report, where you would have learned that the number (73,846) is the number of veterans who have died since 1990 - the first Gulf War -- and includes all conflicts from that date.

Eh..if your talking about the war in Iraq , No those figures are not correct at all........if those figures calculate the over all casualties , just in death then no they are wrong........One can contact the Dept of Information , one is published is public information . try your local newspaper or TV station they can inform you on who to contact to verify information...even a local library .

16 years passed since 1991, the first gulf war.
74000 natural deaths in 16 years (11% of deployed, right?) is a normal toll for the veterans.

That number is too extreme. Is that a valid news source you got that info from?

If we had that many troops to loose, we wouldnt have many left to fight.

Its closer to 3500 mark.

This is obviously nonsense. If it were true, where are all the families of the dead?
