I don't know which is worse Vick for playing the race card or you for being a racist.

Veggie, I agree with part of your statement but we have a 35 year old white police officer in my town that was caught doing the same thing. He got 8 years.

It's funny, as playing the race card is one of the major boundaries to ending racism today. Black people are always trying to seperate themselves, it's ridiculous. I almost puked when I heard Jesse Jackson say "Barack Obama is acting white."

Last I checked we were the same species, almost genetically identical, just as blond as to brunettes. There are no born ways in which we act different, we all are influenced by the culture in which we grew up. I grew up in a tougher neighborhood than most African American kids, should I read a handbook on how to act... no. It's the sum fo my experiences that have shaped me, same as anyone else.

Until people, including many African Americans, stops playing into these stupid stereotypes (black comics seem to thrive on these) and supposed required cultural behavioral trends racism will always be around.

The culture he grew up in might have brought him up badly and influenced his decisions, but him being a black man has nothing to do with what he did being right or wrong. Let's just say I hope he does not.

Veggie, you really don't know much about criminal Justice do you? The time one gets has more to do with the quality of lawyet and the circumstances of the case. Me, as awhitecollar white man, could not afford Vick's lawyets, if I was caught with the same set of circumstances he was I assure you I would get the maximum penalty.

The only question for him legally is how long of a sentence will the judge give him.
What's Vick gonna say "Your Honor, my race has a long history in this nation of being oppressed, so I ask for your leniency?"
Vick obviously did not feel anywhere near being oppressed, he felt entitled to break these laws being a rich and famous athlete, so he has no basis to use the race card.

All his black racist fans have been playing the race card since day one. Vick doesn't have to do anything, they are fighting his battles for him. I wonder if those people realize that Vick wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire?

Now why do you have to say that ?
1st I thought all that was over and decided .
He admitted to it , the NFL said what they said .
Time to move on and forget Michael Vick .
Just like boxing forgot Mike whats his name T .

The dogs he had were fighting, not racing dogs. And I don't believe it makes any difference what color the dogs are. It's still illegal. ;-)
