Like in a sentence my rents are gone?

I think it just means parents but am I wrong?

In the sentence you use, it is a shortcut for parents.

No apostrophe by the way. Plural = no apostrophe.

Possessive (Rent's car [Parent's car]) = apostrophe

I don't think you can use that way.

You would have to say, "He rents the place."
