I had a hard time with this too sometimes. But now at 30 wks i can definetly tell what she is doing. When she is rolling or moving around it kinda makes my tummy quezzy and fluttering feeling. She doesnt kick as much as "push" up an elbow or knee. I can see these movements now AND they kinda hurt! lol When she turns my whole stomach moves like 5 times in a row and it definetly catches your eye!

Sometimes you cannot tell, especially earlier in the pregnancy. Other times you feel (and see!) a sharp jab and you're sure it's a kick or punch. The rolling feels exactly like it sounds - something rolling - I feel it all over. Towards the very end, it's all kind of the same thing since they don't have room for acrobatics.

kicks feel much sharper. By the end, there is no room for kicks, its all rolling and pushing!
