Its either Bruce Dickinson or Freddy Mercury, Mercury really was a good front man.

My favorites:

Geoff Tate (Queensryche)
Freddy Mercury (Queen)
Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
Mike Patton (Faith No More)
Mike Matijevic (Steelheart and also the movie Rockstar)
Rob Helford (Judas Priest)
Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow, Dio, Sabbath)
Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)

Jeff Buckley gets my vote...........he had incredible range, something like 4 octaves, he could sing a Qawaali song and then turn around and sing an MC5 tune. There was a strength and purity to his voice that I don't think we'll find anytime soon......he was not a trained vocalist and wanted to be remembered for his guitar playing and music orchestration.

Freddie Mercury is definitely up there for me, as well as Chris Cornell (love him or hate him........the man has a great voice that can do almost anything) and Tim Buckley (Jeff's father)
