It means that you put your lips too far up on the cig when you put it in your mouth

Not being racists or stereotypical, but black people usually have big lips as one of their many characteristics. So I am assuming that instead of taking a tight, closed lip hit off of the cigarette, you placed all of your lips (including the saliva you produce) on the cigarette. I guess.

I had to call my Grandma to find out what you were even talking about. She said to tell you it is an old saying for someone that gets the end of the cigarette wet with their lips.

They're saying that the person damaged the cigarette by being too rough and slobbery on it with their lips, as would happen if someone had big lips.
It's just an infantile, racist saying. Ignore it.

Well, black people typically have large, curvy lips. (Which I happen to find attractive.) So what the backward, uneducated person probably meant was that you put your lips all over the cigarette and smoked it quickly. (Or too much.) They meant that you were being "greedy" and taking more than they meant for you to take.

I would just like to clarify that anyone can be racist, not only white people against black, other races have used that negative term before and blacks against blacks. Anyone can be racist and anyone can use that word in the derogatory sense, but it is a word that needs to be put to rest.
It means you slobbered all over their cigarette, big lips are stereotyped with blacks.

it is saying that you got the filter of their cigarette soggy. so basically they are going by the stereo type that black people have big lips cuz big lips would get it soggy. so they are being rude to you and using a racial slur at the same time.
