Its the wooden one (not the metal EE cart)

I need someone to strip it down and revarnish it, polyurethane maybe and also repaint the metal areas on it. I would provide all materials I just need labor costs.

I am getting bids from people, I just do not have time to do it myself and need it done by january.

Does anyone have any knowledge what a good labor price is for someone to do this so I know?

I appreciate it.

I was just looking at a meadowbrook for my mare --- it was quite old... well, 15 years old anyway, and the pics of it were awful - it needs all the refinishing you mentioned, a new seat, and an entirely new front and wood finishing because the front has no wood, and has a straight bar from the floor to the top, instead of the nice curve like most meadowbrooks I've seen & like.

My hubby completely redid his mini cart & pony cart - even had to have that one get extensions welded into it to fit the pony.

We are quite "handy", and although we couldn't do that welding ourselves, it only cost us 2 cases of beer, but the wood & refinishing, with sanding and all that wouldn't cost more than $75 in supplies from home depot.

If I was charging someone to redo that meadowbrook that I was looking at, I'd do it for maybe $150, plus the cost of new vinyl to re-wrap the seat....... and that would include re-doing the seat so that it fold up in 2 pieces, instead of just being a single unit....

That sort of stuff, sanding & refinishing, adding wood, and re-vinyling is easy to do. It shouldn't cost an arm & leg.......

They want $500 for that cart, but with all the work it needs, I'm hoping to get the price lower.

well since im the only one answering lol by looking at the pics, one that is a large cart as well as a nice one, so to strip it down, revarnish it, polyurethane and possibly repainting the metal, that is a lot of hours of work, by my own experiences of doing things like that, i would roughly pay $300. add up the cost of all materials, then add in a decent amount that you would pay per hour and total it up, i imagine it could be done in a weeks time.

Have you checked with the Amish (sp?) communities? They do beautiful work. My friend has her grandfather's old doctor's buggy and she had them re-do her wheels. They were in pretty rough shape and she paid plenty, but the quality of their work was worth it to her.
It was fun looking at your pictures.
