German sausage that is usually made with veal or pork. It's one my faves. I brown it and simmer it in beer and sauerkraut.
YEA! Oktoberfest!

Try to buy name brand Bratwurst or from a German deli because the quality is much better. Germans serve them with sauerkraut and/or spicy mustard, on a hard crusty roll.
We used to eat them a lot when we lived in Kitzingen, Germany. Germans serve them year round in outside Cafes, at Fests and at Volksmarches. Kinda makes me miss living there, especially in Autumn. Wonderful to stroll through the countryside and forests there (hike), just like here in the U.S.

A German sausage which has a big advantage for people with a wheat intolerance in that it usually doesn't contain cereal.
