God of War 2?

is it better than the first? i loved the first one! anyone played it yet? i was thinking of it getting it for my hushbands 26th birthday. what about the guide helpful or not? used it a few times with the first one.

I personally liked GoW2 even better than the original. You have a larger selection of weapons, and you also get to ride a Pegasus. Plus, the graphics are even better than the first. Instead of buying a guide, I used this awesome video walkthrough:

It's so much easier to actually watch a section played out that you are stuck in instead of just reading about it. It'll help a lot.

God of war 2 is awesome. It's better than the first despite what any of these other people say. More moves, more action, more everything. Devil may cry is also a good choice, 1 or 3, 2 kinda sucks. If you don't want to spend money on a guide, go to www.gamefaqs.com to get walkthroughs for free. They are very helpful and there are several so if one doesn't help, another probably will.

God of War 2 was really fun. However, it was not as good as the first and the ending was kind of disappointing (i.e., set it up for another sequel). If he is a fan of the franchise he ought like it. Strategy guides can be helpful but one should not depend on them to complete a game.

If he loves blood, gore, and an interesting story line in the game, i would say it is an great game. In my book it didnt stand up to the Devil May Cry games. If he liked the first God of war pick him up Devil May Cry 1,2,3 then have him compare them

i love god of war 2 so far, devil may cry is another good series. resident evil 4 he might like as well.
