#1 I've never been a Couric fan.. not for believing she has some kind of bent.. and not because she's a woman.. I respect Stahl, Sawyer and others... there's no sincerity there... her tough questions seem to be more grandstanding than a sincere effort to get to the truth., I'm also biased because Russ is a St. Louis guy and he refused to wear a Yankee or Met hat on the CBS morning show, saying no self respecting St. Louisan could do that during the 2000 Subway Series!

I just think she needs to be replaced, regardless by whom. She is a classically perfect example of the reality show concept of creating talent where there really isn't any. Alchemists learned long ago that you cannot make gold out of lead, and so it is with Katie Couric. She is becoming the poster child for talent failures and her 15 minutes of fame are already used up.

Actually, I think they should ask Walter back. That would really propel them. I think Katie has had enough time.
