I'm looking for the name of a piece of music that my elementary music teacher would always play for us around Halloween. It was a classical piece that was played directly on the piano strings. I wish I could give more info than that. This was at Barretts Elementary School in Balwin, MO with Mrs. Ainsworth if that helps anyone.
Thanks!

I'm guessing that you are thinking of Henry Cowell's "The Banshee".

The music is out of print, but is available from G. Schirmer on a rental only basis. I do not know the price.

i'd commence with both piano or guitar. taking off with piano might want to instruct you to study song perfect i imagine. Drums might want to probable be extra worry-free than both besides the undeniable fact that it actual relies upon on the guy. I performed guitar first and only now figuring out on up piano, i have not talked about advantages or hazards both way. Why do you favor to study one? only because? i don't understand the thanks to allow you to understand to ascertain yet in case you're only wanting on to play to play round and create song by utilizing your self, guitar is rather sturdy. Drums want better than only drums, i imagine.

Do you know the composer? That may help.
But, if your teacher is still around, try asking her, contact her directly and ask her. Sorry, I'm not sure which song it is :(
