Hello,
They are most likely, "Beautyberry" bushes.
I have 8 of them here in No.IL.
I bought these from Parks Seeds a few years ago.
I was told that they are native to the southeastern United States.
They are beautiful, but don't seem to attract birds, but the flowers during the summer attract a lot of bees.
Hope this helps, Have Fun!
Dave

Take a sample to your local home extension or county ag dept or the horticulture dept in the college--do not eat without ID. I picked beautiful big blue berries once, got an ID and they were castor berries---I would have died on the pot.
