The cost can vary but very expensive. I have queen size bedding and pillows that said dry clean only and I wash them with Woolite and cold water and put a couple of tennis balls in the dryer with them and have done this for years. I have down comforters which say to dry clean but I have always washed them in the same way. They always come out looking new. Works for me anyway! Good luck!!

When I called around to ask for my mother in law the cost for only the comforter was over $30. It is usually about $10 per pillow. Check the tags on the pillows. Most are machine washable, as long as they are not the foam ones that get all bunched up. I have Down Alternative pillows and wash mine about once a month with no problems.

As with down pillows, the best way to wash down-alternative pillows is to put them in a cold water wash on a normal cycle in your washing machine. Drop a teaspoon of liquid dish soap into the laundry water. When the washing cycle has ceased, place your down-alternative pillows in the dryer, on the "tumble dry low" setting. Do not dry down-alternative pillows on high heat, and never dry-clean down-alternative bedding. -
