Let it Be

The Beatles are the best band of all time, now i don't think you could really pick a biggest hit song for such a succesful band with so many hits. But if I had to choose it would be "I want to hold your hand" this song because it really got the
Beatlemania started ;)

Let It Be or Hey Jude
The Beatles had a lot of great songs it's hard to choose. Best album would be Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band. Depends on your age really, if you grew up in the 60's, the peace or protest songs were the best & still are! Peace to all.

Hard to say, since biggest could mean "breakthrough" / intro to U.S. etc., or if you mean biggest seller...or for that matter royalties. "I wanna hold your hand" was an early one that got them on the US Radar, followed by "I saw her standing there". "Twist and Shout" was a very popular one in the day as well. Then, balads like "Yesterday" and songs like "Let it Be" have been classics over the years. In terms of critical acclaim, I would have to say that the entire Sgt. Peppers Album was the most 'breakthrough' for the band at the time - what, with all the horns, girations, voices, and for that matter colors on the LP itself. Most of the other musicians (contemporaries) of the Beatles at the time were 'blown away' by Sgt. Pepper.

If you want an opinion that`s one thing but if you want the cold hard facts based on stats the biggest selling hit by The Beatles was Hey Jude.

I think they had a LOT of hit songs. Yellow Submarine (many MANY movies), Hello Goodbye (Target commercial most recently), and a lot of movies have featured remixes of their songs. The Beatles were such a popular, successful band that I don't think we can pick just ONE song.

If you're talking about hit, as in making money, it's gotta be "I wanna hold your hand", or "She loves you", since they were released at the height of Beatlemania. However, the "hit song" which we still listen to today is, without a doubt "Hey Jude". It's a classic, but it's not their best work.

That's a really tough one. "I wanna hold your hand," maybe.
Edit: A lot of these songs by the other answerers (is that even a word?) are not Beatles songs. "Imagine" was a John Lennon solo song. And "Yesterday" was a Paul McCartney solo song.

i think of it is an incredible occasion. i think of the numerous different people who responded your question are lacking the factor. situation isn't despite in case you think of that the Beatles are or have been extra significant to youngsters on the time than Jesus. the concern is did Lennon have the wonderful to state his opinion, regardless of ways many times going on or unpopular that opinion is. What he somewhat suggested in a mag article is here: "'Christianity will pass,it is going to vanish and shrink. I need not argue approximately that; i'm precise and that i would be proved precise. we are extra many times going on than Jesus now; i don't be attentive to which will pass first-rock 'n' roll or Christianity. Jesus grow to be all precise yet his disciples have been thick and elementary. it is them twisting it that ruins it for me." He later tried to make sparkling his comments with the aid of asserting that what he meant grow to be that the Beatles on the time have been extra significant to youngsters than Jesus.

Hey Jude

Probably one of the early ones, like :~

Love Me Do
Can't Buy Me Love

It depends whether you mean overall, or in the UK or US.

For the person who said 'Yesterday' was a solo song...

... no, it wasn't!
It was released on the album 'Help!' in 1965, though it was only released as a single in 1976.
