No, don't turn up the heat, that won't do it. Every 6 months you need to de-flee your house. People just think the dog or cats done, so we're fine. But, as you now know, that's not true. Fleas jump off the animals and lay eggs, and can breed in your bed, carpets, curtains, settee etc....All of these need to be sprayed. The best spray is from the vets, 1 can will do an average sized house and lasts about 6 months, although I used to do mine every 4 months just to be on the safe side. You'll need to wash all your bedding, including quilt and pillows. I actually spray my mattress as my cat used to sleep on my bed too. Pop along to your local vets, and they will show you what spray I am talking about, and spray away. Mind do the cat too!! (not with the house spray though lol)

Do not do this!!!
Flea flourish in warm weather... We had fleas from a cat in our apartment. The girls who cats it was left for a week, and turned off the A/C. When she got back it looked like the floor was moving there were so many of them. Give the cat a flea bath in the opposite part of the house, then use a flea bomb ( bought from the grocery store) then use it when you can be out of the house for the recommended period, usually 5-10 hours. This is the only surefire way, you have to keep the cat in another room, because the bomb won't kill the larva, but if there is nothing for them to feed when they hatch they will die pretty soon..

Wishful thinking unfortunately.
You need to put all of your pets on Frontline, or another vet recommended flea product.
You'll also need a household flea spray with insect growth regulator & pyrethrins. The IGR takes care of eggs, while the pyrethrins takes care of adult fleas.
Spray in every room in your house, also under furniture and in cracks such as cushions, etc.
Wash all bedding and rugs, vacuum every other day and replace the bag or empty the canister after each use.
Depending on how bad the fleas are, you may have to repeat steps several times.

wishful thinking. fleas eggs love warmth. They thrive on it.
1st you need to treat your cat for fleas, then (dont know where you are.) Fumigate your home, wash the bed clothes. The eegs of fleas can lay dormat fro many years in cold weather. soon as it warms up, they will start hatching like crazy.
You can use a product by your vet called pet programme, this is an injection given into cats neck this make the eggs of the fleas sterile. But 1st you need to fumigate your home and get your cat treated to.

Turning the heat up will just encourage the flea eggs to hatch.
Get a housespray. Don't use anything from a pet store, it doesn't work. Get something like Indorex, Staykil, Acclaim or Skoosh from a vets.
