Are you receiving any error messages? Maybe try to restore the browser to defaults. Goto tools/internet options/ and i think the advanced has the restore defaults.
If that doesn't work, post an error or something to get a better response.
You may want to add the site's address to your "trusted sites" zone on the scurity tab.

First of all, are you trying to access the site from home, or at school? If you are at school, the site may be blocked by a web filtering program such as Websense, preventing you from being able to access it. If that is the case, you need to talk to your professor/teacher, and see if they can get the site added by somone in the IT dept to the 'ok' list in the filter so it doesn't block it any more.
If you are trying to access the page from home, there are a number of things that could be wrong, ranging from network problems, to someone in your family configuring it to block certain sites. If you can provide more details, I could be more helpful...

It's probably a problem with your interconnection. The internet is made of millions of wires and if just one of these got warm the entire internet could go down. While this is unlikely, it's very possible your precious studying site is gone. Forever. I'm sorry.

Well you could always install a real browser like Firefox. Or you could check with your network admin and have them allow access to the site through the firewall and set your permissions to a lower level of security in your browser.
