That can be tricky, you don't want to bait someone like that, if they won't speak then confronting them will do no good. You may have to go to a supervisor and let them handle it. Is there another co-worker they will speak with that could mediate maybe?

Do you need for the co-worker to speak. If it's a social aspect, you may need to just get over it. If it's actually impeding your job you may want to have the supervisor step in to expedite information.
