I am so lacking knowledge when purchasig a notebook. Any info you can provide me with is appreciated. Also, I notice the Acer is much cheaper than most; any thoughts? I currently own 2 dell desktops and had planned on going with them but the Acer is quite a bit cheaper, just don't know about the quality! Thanks all!

If it just says Turion 64 then it is a single core, if it says Turion 64 X2, it is a dual core. So make sure to look for the X2 if you want dual core.

mysticman44 is right. Acer is cheap, but when something is cheap it doesn't mean that it's good. Depends on what you want to do with your laptop decide to get the proper one. I highly recommend you to get a toshiba or hp.
