thanks!

FYI, guys like flowers too! You can also do a theme gift. Too bad you didn't mention the show. For instance if it was Grease you could give him a popcorn bucket filled with treats, a comb, hair gel, a gift cert for the movies or the local drive-in if you have one, etc. or a car wash bucket filled with car care stuff and paint "Greased Lightening" on the bucket. Anything that goes with the theme of the show :-)

good luck!

The most treasured gift I ever recieved on an Opening Night was a hand-written card wishing me a leg-breaking.

NOT "Break A Leg!", a hope and a wish for my leg-breaking.
This was just after the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan scandal.

I keep that note safe to this day.

To your Q: Whiskey always is looked upon with favour. And food. Actors are habitually in chronic need of both.

I'd go with food.

How about tickets to an upcoming performance of something else in your area? A musical or play or even a concert? I'm sure that if he likes to perform live in front of an audience, he equally likes to watch others perform live. Just make sure the run of his own show that he's performing in is over before the date you pick for the tickets. Otherwise, it would end up being more a dilemma than a gift!

if he is really into the play in which he's performing- you can get him a first edition copy of it at a specialty book store.

or how about a nice bottle of champagne to celebrate afterward?

hope this helps :D

What about taking pictures and scrapbooking them into an album? Like, behind-the-scenes and things like that? A lot of good memories : )
