Are you suppose to offer it to him or just wait to he feels it's not pushy anymore to ask you. He told me this, but I am not sure if I am suppose to anything after that.

If a guy is going to do the asking the least a woman can do is make it easy by letting him know he has her permission to ask. If you don't offer a guy your phone number, in effect,you are telling him that you don't want him to call you.
I am sure some men will ask regardless. However, the better one, the guys you should want the most, will not call you if you don't make it easy by letting him know that you would be receptive to him.

Is it possible that you ladies actually pay attention when a man is trying to be considerate?
Maybe the circumstances are such that the guy feels he's actually be being pushy if he asked for your #.
What's the great big hairy deal.......if you know he's interested, would like to have it, then why the game? Why must it always be a game. Just give the guy your number......if you want him to have it.

He would have to ask me for my phone number, not manipulate me into giving it to him. You did the right thing, by not falling into his trap. Let him ask. Even then, I might not give it to him, because he started out playing games.
