I completely agree that this question if far too vague to be fully responded too. There are so many different business models and each different model will require completely different technology needs. What type of business it is and what sorts of services or items it produces would have a major impact on what types and sorts of machines they would need or require to do business. In addition to this is the fact that every business has several different areas which require different types of hardware and software.
For example, a business which produces portable tolites would have it productions lines, its developement lines, its shipping department, its receiving department, its parts ordering department, it human ressources department, and other myriad areas which the business would require many different types of computers and software.
The accounting department would need a machine which has purhaps Quickbooks, with the accounts payable and the accounts receivable both using different sections of the program and those sections would then feed information into the main program on a different system in which the main finacial officer reviews, produces and writes reports, and does the reconcilation and other end of period details. The President of the company would require different software and tools, the network administrator, the security administrator, the manufacturing department, etc.
So, it is very diverse what type of memory, processor, disk storage, back up, video display, and many other capabilities.
Simply attempting to illustrate a single modality would be futile. Had you included a single section/area/shop/office etc, within a specific type of business we then could hypothesize what those needs may be.

your answer is too vague.
if your business has less then say 400 clients and less than 25 employees, your needs are going to be a lot different than one that has more clients and employees.
most out-of-the box units will actually suffice for smaller businesses, but for larger companies you might want to look to a server set-up
optical storage is far superior and reliable than magnetic storage in regards to physical size and capacity.

It really depends what your "business purpose" is. If you are doing CAD drafting and video editing, you would want something much better than if you were just editing small Word/Excel documents.
