I am a Yankees fan, But I am very impressed the Rockies (They swept tye Yanks during interleague) and I think they have a shot of making it. This was amazing based on the fact that a few years ago, the Rockies were in last place. Good luck to them!!

I mean the WILD CARD, not the division

The Rockies are two games behind the D'backs. Let's consider the scenarios. If the Rockies sweep, they at least tie for the wild card. (SD could still win the division if they sweep Milwaukee.)
If the D'backs win one game at Coors this weekend, the Rockies will not be able to win the division. For them to be able to at least tie for a wild card spot, they'll need SD to lose 2 out of 3 to MIL and for neither PHI and NYM to sweep WSH and FLA respectively. I can't see this happening. No way does SD lose 2 out of 3 to MIL with how poorly the Brewers have been playing, especially with Peavy on the mound Sunday if the Padres need him.
So basically if they sweep, they're in. If not they're out. The D'backs send Webb to the mound tonight. That will be a tough task, but if they can somehow manage to beat him, they should be in good shape as the rest of the D'backs pitchers are mediocre to bad.
I hope they can make it, and Matt Holliday deserves the MVP

A game back, in the wild card race, with four to go doesn't sound like much but it is when two other teams are there also. They are tied with the Phillies and a game behind the Padres and on a 10 game winning streak. They will have to run the table and finish with a 14 game winning streak and they still might not get there. The other possibility is to jump ahead of both the Diamondbacks and Padres and win the division and that appears to be more difficult than the wild card. But I am with you, it is a very impressive ending to a great season for the Rockies.

They have won 10 in a row now and are putting a lot of pressure on Arizona who have lost 3 in a row! They are only 1 game out of the wildcard, however, I think they have a better chance of winning the division from Arizona than beating Philly in the wild card. And even winning the division will be tough since they are 2 games back with only 4 to play. And Arizona is winning right now 2-0 over Pittsburgh. So despite an amazing year and a terrific run for them, I think they will just miss the playoffs.

I really would love to see them make the playoffs this year, but I don't think it's gonna happen for them. They close out this season playing the D'Backs, and they are hot! I think San Diego will hold on to the wild card slot for this year, but I their team is too old to continue. I say the Rockies make it next year though. They are too good not to.

If the Pad's keep winning then Colorodo has no shot. They can't play .900 baseball forever. Streaks end, it's a fact

I think they have a very good shot. But even if they don't make it they should hold their heads up high. They still had a good season.

No, they won't make it. They finish the season playing division leader Arizona, who will put a spanking on them. Sorry guy.

I would love to see it. They are a fun team to watch. They would make for more exciting playoffs than if the Padres made it.

I feel that the D Backs will hold on. It would make for a great story though.

I wish. It would be nice to see this young talented team getting in. They wouldn't make it far however. Their pitching isn't very good.
