and then proceed to argue with all answers and then give the points to a con troll? I mean, what's the point? I see this a lot, and why bother asking if you already have your mind made up?

Fat Pizza Thanks a lot for trying, but you might want to get your jollies some other way. We don't get flustered, we are just amazed at the depth of some people's self centeredness

tx-trotter or whatever your name is, I've only directed one question at right wingers. I do come on here to hear others opinions. But, thanks for responding.

holbrook-thanks for answering, I was hoping you would. No, I don't care about the 10 points but I was a little surprised at who you DID choose...it's nice what you wrote but if you really do want to understand the liberal point of view, there were a few good answers to your question that weren't insulting. I would have emailed you this instead of asking it as a question if it were possible to email you. I don't object to honest debate and have debated with a few people on here and learned a few interesting things. My point is, if you just want to insult those of us who think differently than you do, just do it instead of pretending that you want to hear our point of view. Thank you for your response.

Actually, some of these partisan dolts will pick a response that slants to the opposite end of the political spectrum, not out of any purported curiosity or geniune respect for such a response but rather only as another cheap way to bash them even more. Pathetic.

It isn't the fact that Bush read My Pet Goat to 9-year-olds, it's the fact that he obviously hasn't read any adult books at all. He lectured to a university crowd that a "C" student can become President, and he is an excellent example of this fact. His lack of intellect and pampered previous life has led us into tremendous debt and an unnecessary war.

Combine this with the fact that he sat in a daze for seven minutes after he heard about the most vicious attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor! Later, he stated that he "didn't want to upset the kids." President Bush is the leader of our country, the Commander-in-Chief, the most powerful man in the world....and he sat for seven minutes because he didn't want to upset the children, as if the teacher could not have taken over had someone but whispered in her ear!

I hope this clarifies all of those who post this question. I guess I could sum it up by saying, it isn't the fact that Bush is uninformed and unintelligent that is the problem. It is the fact that he seems to be proud of it.

Because they aren't really asking a question, they are preaching, and in that hyper boring style, they are preaching to the neocon choir while feeling like they are getting some good jibes on those who disagree with them.

Frankly, I didn't see Bush reading My Pet Goat. All we saw him do was look at it blankly (at least, on the footage I have seen) and they have yet to prove to me that the man can actually read! Furthermore, the question is inane anyway (not yours, the one you mention!) because any dolt with have an IQ point would realize that Bush should have immediately and calmly explained to the kids that something on a national scale had taken place that he needed to immediately address, apologize and promise them that he would reschedule, and then he should have gotten his sorry rear end off the chair, and into a place where he could address the nation and the situation!

that was really not a question at all.

it was sort of pile-on thread - you all must know the type by now.

the neocons and radical conservatives sort of say all the clever and nasty things that they would do, you know, if they were men.

really that whole thing was an exercise in impotence - with republicans targetting the insane vote and as a result ensuring a permanent minority - get used to a lot more 'questions' like that one.

also, don't forget that it was recently revealed that the president's speeches frequently have hard to pronounce words phoenetically spelled out - which explains bush's robot like presentation of so many of his speeches.

in the end, don't sweat it and remember - living well is the best revenge...

the answers that person gives are obscenely misinformed.

The FAA knew that 3-4 planes were hijacked and that the first WTC crash was a hijacked plane before Bush ever arrived at the elementary school. He was on the phone with National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice as soon as he got to the school, and then went into the classroom anyway. After being informed of the second attack (definitely no accident) he stayed for several minutes, even when the class moved on to a new lesson. I think this is inadmissible.

OK you called me out...the reason I answered back is because all of the answers were for the most part, asinine...I was asking why I keep seeing people, Liberals especially, use "My Pet Goat" as a means to say something bad about the President...it shows how little most people know about their own Government and how it works...do you honestly think in the short time period of an hour or so that pilots can be alerted, jets loaded with missiles, and then track down four jets with their tracking beacons off? Before 9/11 their was no protocol on attacking aircraft with in our boards... NORAD tracks out side the US and the FAA, which is not a Military organization, track with in our boards...I just do not by the answer that the "My Pet Goat" remark is talking about indecision...in my mind it is saying the President is stupid...he may not be the smartest man in the world, but what else could have been done on 9/11? If we had shot down the planes then people would be bitching because we did that...I am for educated discusion, but the Liberal Trolls ask the most idiotic questions...so if you want to call me out for this go ahead and wave your little victory flag and do your little dance...I was just trying to see where they were coming from, and when they gave me the answer of indecision..I shot it full of holes...

Talk about indicision...try Clinton doing nothing on four separate terrorist attacks...so who caught the people who masterminded the USS Cole attack...oh yea Bush...Clinton would not rest until they were brought to justice...well I guess he can put the cigar down now...and I am not a Troll..I just don't do the point gaming crap of answering stupid questions...I have no idea why I am even answering this one...

Let's not even bring up, "You no Isa with ya all along..." using Hilary's fake Southern Accent...

I am a Moderate...who just hates stupidity...Y!A is full of it...on both sides...if we are going to debate, lets do it with facts, not "My Pet Goat"...

And if you look back at the questions I have asked...they are all me trying to understand the Liberal point of view...I have a degree in Political Science, so I find it interesting...

are you unhappy I didn't give you the best answer?

EDIT: I am trying to understand Liberals...but there are so many crazies on here it is hard to tell what the average Liberal believes...the way I picked the best answer was by the eyes closed and point method...I have a new baby, I have not been sleeping much and I did not want to lose the three points, so I took the quick way out...but I do believe a lot of the "My Pet Goat" stuff is Liberal Spin to take the light off of the failings of Clinton...I just do not buy the indscision answer...would it have been the same if Gore had been reading "My Pet Goat" and then five years he is still deciding what to do.... =) I don't allow emails because when I first started coming on here I got a lot of crazy crap...especially from that Koo Koo Bananas guy, I think he has a thing for me...I don't allow people to see my questions because I don't want a troll to get my account suspended...

There are TONS of people here, from both sides of the fence, who do not ask "questions" at all. They merely state their own opinion, put a question mark at the end, and wait to see affirmations/agreements of other people who feel the same way. Then when someone of the opposite persuasion posts a comment that disagrees with the "asker," the asker accuses the opponent of not paying attention to the "question." Yes, it is very, very tiresome. But there's nothing we can do to stop it.

Interesting topic, and points out again that a lot of folks miss the point. The President doesn't move until his security staff tell him to move. They needed to secure the site he was at and the route to where they were taking him. 24 minutes is not unreasonable.
Honestly, the con vs lib comedy was stale 4 years ago. Move on.

I see it all the time. Someone who calls herself "Beautifully Conservative" or something asked a question about how Iraq had anything to do with oil and she got several intelligent responses clearly describing in fact what role oil has in the war and then she chose as best answer something to the effect of Al Gore being a hypocrite and the liberals won't be able to answer the question. It's utterly ridiculous.
