Well, if it's so hard, then why are you? See, I don't like to say goodbye and let people go. I guess I'm part of the reason that it's hard to say goodbye. : ) Now. It's hard to say goodbye because that means an ending.
I don't do goodbyes. Till we meet again works for me.

I do not know why it is except possibly the permanence of the action . Good bye is a derivation of the words God be with you so it should not be that hard but generally people think if they say goodbye something bad might happen and they wont see each other again.
