It is well appreciated.

Reply to aka DarthDad,
You say that the UN has all sorts of policies and norms in the world, then how come the US went into Iraq, without the approval of the Security Council in the UN, which is based and fully backed up by the States.
Political Power is made horizontally, where there is no World police to regulate the conflicts.

More dangerous than the world of the Cold War era?

Where two superpowers held the fate of the survival of the human species hostage to political postering and vying for economic hegomony?

More dangerous than the era of Victorian superpower when a declining British Empire gave way to German and Japanese factions that forced the US to end isolationism and step forward as a great power?

Currently, political power is more diffuse than at anytime since before the industrial revolution began.

Middle powers like Canada, France, the UK have far more influence than similar states enjoyed against historical superpowers.

A country like Bulgaria has a voice, albeit a limited one.

Even the poorest nations have a voice in the UN, and would have a greater one were they not so corrupt.

The world of the 21 century is far from unipolar despite the fact that the US possesses an overwhelming military.

Ghengis Khan possessed a superpower army and conquered the world, the US is far more limited by tempermant and pragmatism than to attempt to subjegate others, despite anti-American propaganda.

The world is full of compromise and the US has to compromise more than most. It is only because they are so obviously the most powerful that it seems that everything goes their way.

For every Iraq conflict where America seems to stand almost alone, there are a thousand organizations and treaties where international agreements are the norm.

Democracy is spreading worldwide and therefore so is compromise, not unipolarism.
