It won't happen overnight but one of the best ways to get over someone is to keep busy, don't sit brooding . Wear yourself out physically during the day so that you are exhausted when you go to bed.Do some decorating or get stuck into your garden.Go out with your friends, lean on your family for love and support. I don't think you will be able to totally forget but in time the pain won't be so unbearable. Hold in there.

Its hard to let go of someone when you have strong feelings for them. Try your hardest to erase them and the memories you might have of them. Anything that reminds you of them, hide or throw away. Start making new memories with friends. Don't sit around and be sad about losing a love. Know everything happens for a reason. You're letting go of this person so another one can be introduced to your life.

if your longer with the person then unfortunatley theres no remedy for forgetting somebody, even when you meet someone else you will still feel affection for this person. you can love someone without being in love with someone, keep a place in your heart for this person if you want to but when you meet someone else then it will be a different kind of love but equaly special.

You can't. The man I loved died in January, and I will never ever forget him. I love him as much now as I did when I first met him :-(

Don't. Why would you want to do that if you're in love with them? Unless of course they're abusive and you don't want to leave...in which case...you just have to try. Take a mini vaca away from them and see how that works out. Or hang out with your friends, slowly letting the one you love drift in the background.

Instead of thinking of all the good things about him. think of all the bad things about him, everyone has some so you cant say that you have nothing that you didnt like about him. Like even if it was that he had bad morning breath? Anything simple like that that would turn you off and keep thinking about how much you didnt like that, eventually you will start letting go a bit.

uhm this happened to me one time. what you could do is start associating all the negative things you can think of and stop putting that person in your line of thoughts. it would take time but as you go on with this you'd realize its working! hope it works!
