Ot's trying to get your attention, it learned how to play dead to avoid predators. You did name it Ot, right?

It is not normal for most fish to be swim upside down. I think your fish has a swim bladder problem.

Unless it was meant to swim like that, it sounds like there is something wrong with the swim bladder. Now, my sister had an Upsidedown Catfish. It swam upside down but when it came time to eat, it would turn right side up.

When fish swim upside down it means that it has a something like a gas bubble in its stomach, what i used to do to fix that was I gave it peas to eat. Frozen ones are just fine as long as you remove the outer skin on it, and try to get your fish to ingest it. It helps to relieve the bubble, and it should be fine as long as you haven't left it like that for too long

I'm sorry this is not normal. My brothers fish did this before it died. Well, It seems pretty bad so I don't know if you can help it. But, if you have any other fish in the tank you should go to a pet store and get some pills that eliminate diseases and parasites. (you can ask a worker at the store about it).

I get the feeling your fish won't be alive too much longer.
