I decided to remove a bunch of files from my laptop - nothing other than games and Y! Messenger and AIM and a Southwestern Bell DSL file. We have Charter broadband and a wirelss router so I figured I did't need the SB DSL file. Now when I click on internet explorer I get the IE "frame" with all my favorites listed but I get the message that page not available - check your settings..... what did I do wrong and how do I fix?

I agree, do a system restore, here's how.
Start-
Programs-
Accessories-
SystemTools-
SystemRestore
follow directions to restore to last restore point before you messed with it.
Finally, don't mess with it again. LOL

Sounds like you'll have to reinstall that DSL file! That's your internet connection. Hope this helps.
