Camels make a variety of coughing noises, similar to that made by donkeys and the like. They also belch, and do a lot of spitting

I have heard a camel roaring, she sounded like a lion. The zoo people said it was because she was in labor and had been moved to where she was to give birth, and she was probably lonely as well as having contractions. Soon she had her baby.

If the camel really has something to say it sounds like a donkey being chainsawed; otherwise they grunt.
