help, i got a email from hotmail saying Your live ID will be closed. Because i have sent spam and viruses, which i have not and dont know how to. What do i do, please help

they say to download somthing to protect it. It looks authentic. But the file when i put my mouse over the link to the file. I look at the url and it dosent start of with msn. or live, but somthing weird.

Let me guess... it has a site to go to, to "confirm" your details?

Sounds like a scam... junk it.

Check your Live ID the usual way, do not use a link in the email. If there's anything wrong with your ID, it will tell you.

Most likely the email is a phish, trying to get you to give your Live ID password to their fake Live server (the link in the email).
