Well I remember getting this urge to clean and organize everything in the house (this is called nesting). I couldn't sleep at night, so I would stay up all night cleaning and organizing. Then in the early morning hours I would go to sleep but only be able to sleep a couple of hours.
Also, your tummy will drop which means the baby is moving further down into position to be born.

You can read all the books and you can think you are going into labour several times before it happens.
The thing is, that every woman is different - and for me, so was each of my 3 labours.
1) I was induced. I felt the nesting, listlessness, even cramping, but she had to be encouraged along.
2) I felt really well, but had a show - and then thought my waters had broken, but actually it was just a pocket of water. Then on the day, I simply felt contractions every hour or so. I even went to an evening cricket match and during that match they regulated and got stronger.
3) I felt ill. I was tired and felt odd. Then when contractions started, they were irregular and the whole thing lasted less than 3 hours.
Try not to think of every little thing as the start of labour. The best thing to do is to be busy, be ready to go to the hospital and when it happens, you really will know. There is never any doubting it!
I hope you have an easy, trouble free birth. Enjoy it!

Some women exp. Braxtion Hicks contractions. Lose of your mucus plug, leaking, water breaking or actual contraction. If you have any of those signs like water breaking any leaking you need to go to the hospital. With the contractions you have to time them so if there coming every 5 mins for about a hour and are very strong they will hurt go in. With false contractions there not as painfuland they come 20 min apart from each other..

More bowel movements, getting tired, feeling achy, have already lost your mucus plug (not a necessity), water broke, swelling, etc. But some of these symptoms are hard to tell apart from just being pregnant. Good luck!

When i went in to labor with my daughter i lost my mucus plug the clear gooey thick substance that plugs your cervix sometimes it has a little bloody show in it. (ugh) it was gross but when i called my doc he had me come in and i was ready to go. but sometimes it can take up to three weeks to go into labor after you lose your plug.
