I think that as long as your have nice toned legs, you're not too old to wear them. However, if you're a professional, I probably wouldn't wear a mini skirt to work if you're over 35. Keep the skirts either at the knee, or an inch or two just above.

I'm 34 and I have great legs (not trying to brag!) but I started feeling uncomfortable in my shorter skirts about a year ago. I still wear some short ones on the weekend with a long sleeved polo or a sweatshirt and I don't feel like I'm showing too much. I wear longer skirts (the hem is right at my knee) to work. I heard the best advice though and I think that's what made me think about skirt length. Someone said, "No one will notice if you wear your skirt's a little longer, but everyone will notice when it's too short."

It depends on the occasion and your body type. If you're over 30, a mini skirt is really only appropriate on a summer night out or at the beach. Not during the day (unless it's on the beach as a bathing suit cover up). But, this is if you have the legs to carry it off.
What you're asking about, though...midway between the butt and knee...that's not really a mini. I'd say that's ok for many occasions and for most body types (any "normal type"...and yes sizes 12-18 are still normal).

Actually, looking again at your question, no--I last wore a skirt that short when I was in high school. It would make me feel very uncomfortable.
My answer, below, applies to skirts about four inches above the knee.
First of all, you need nice, slim legs, obviously. Secondly, you need not to wear hose if your knees are wrinkling or sagging, if you have broken veins or varicose veins, or if you're generally saggy looking.
If you are in good shape, and if you wear nice hosiery, well-fitting clothes and good shoes, you can wear tasteful short skirts at any age.
However, an older woman really shouldn't wear a mini skirt, even as part of a tasteful suit, to church or to a funeral.

When your knees start to sage and/or your face looks noticably over 35.
Sadly these two things can hit people at different ages- some people have to quit at 25, some get away with it at 45!!
It isn't so much the age, as the point at which the things the skirt is showing off (the legs) cease to be perky and youthful. Then it is better to show some decorum and focus the eye on (for example) the bust which might have grown, or the face/eyes.

You cannot get rid of the dimples and shadows (cellulite) by rubbing an odd gel, weird lotion or goopy cream on your trouble zones and problem spots. I know that some can actually make your cellulite worse. The only proven way to permanently get rid of the dimples and shadows of cellulite is through a series of simple, yet specifically targeted lower-body movements. These unique movements focus on lifting, shaping and toning the muscle layers so they gently push outward against the skin to bring back the smooth, tight and sexy appearance, while burning off any excess flab, if there is any. Have a look to this site for more details and eye-opening information about cellulite http://nocellulite.toptips.org

When your legs aren't as good as they used to be and the rest of you looks pretty silly wearing one! Mini skirts are great when you have a lovely figure but when you get older ... You don't look so good in them.

It's not the age, it's the shapeliness of the legs that counts. There are many teenagers and women in their 20s who are fat (bordering on obese) who insist on wearing 'fanny pelmets' and think they look good. Most men think it's disgusting and there should be a law against it.
Many 30s/40s women have shapely legs and can carry off the miniskirt look.

I am 32 and wouldn't wear one in the day time, but on a night out I would. Tastefully though, maybe with dark tights...but I dont look my age. I think you have to be careful beyond your 30's!
