I have an informational speech to present in a few weeks. I'm urged to talk about a person. I love music, so I've come up with the following people to use as my topic. I want to keep my audience interested, who would you want to hear an informational speech about?

1. Freddie Mercury
2. Jim Morrison
3. Bob Marley
4. Janis Joplin

(If you have a suggestion that is not listed, please list it.)

I appreciate it! Thank you.

Freddie Mercury is an interesting choice

because all of those you listed were generous, proliifc and made a fine contribution to life and all trajic in a way but not too many people know about FM, I don't, and I would be curious to know what he was about and what new light you could shed on this person's life and legacy. And he is the only gay person in the list. That angle alone will have people perk up and listen.

Great question. Good luck.

Eric Clapton, he so defined the word "Versatility" when applied to rock music. The man is a genius on a guitar and got his start with some pretty heavy hitters, one group in particular he put on the map and that was John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Their popularity was astounding during Clapton's brief stay with them. He was also in Cream and The Yardbirds, both huge 60's rock bands. He can play blues like he's from Mississippi and lived it. I love Eric Clapton, and the talent and contributions he has made to mainstream music should be acknowledged. I believe he doesn't get the full recognition that he very much deserves to get.

Well since I know you, those 4 are the perfect choice for you to talk about since that's your taste in music. And you would enjoy your speech more if you talked about someone you liked & interested you. So my choice out of those 4 would be Bob Marley. One Love! Good Luck on your speech! O=)
