I'm like Martha -- born in the year of the monkey during the 60s, so I don't remember anything. Except perhaps taking a bath in a kitchen sink.

This question, though, makes me take a good hard look at avatars. Are they agist? The little babies born in the 70s look just like the people who remember the 60s well. I wonder if avatars should reflect age better? I wonder if anyone would choose the older looking models?

Although, cartoons age pretty hideously. It's hard to find a cute and peppy middle-aged cartoon.

No, I wasn't born until 1977. I would have liked to have lived in the 60's, though! The stories that my parents tell me about that era are so fascinating! They got to live in an era where the world was rapidly changing and so many advances were being made for women and blacks. They even got to see men walk on the moon! Plus, I love the music, fashion, etc. of that era. I would have liked to have been a hippie.

Yes - especially 1967. The music in that particular year was so good it was hard to choose which song you wanted to be No.1 in the charts!

Sadly, YES ... as This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree was hitting her teen years at the time. Best to leave that era in the past -- did you ever take a look at what folks wore then ... or what happened????
