no, I moved around a lot after college...I still get together with my friends about once a year and see my family often though.

Nope, I'm almost 1/2 a world a way from it.
My story briefly: I was born of American parents working in the UAE (back when foreigners were a novelty there, 1966). But now, my husband, 4 daughters & I live in Pennsylvania, not far from my dad's hometown. This is the longest I have lived in any town: 11 years!

I never grew up in one town, the longest I lived in one place was ten years, and have never been back there... the average for me is about 3 years at one place.

Could we ever leave? Doctoral level geographers say that at best we can only prove beyond doubt and map with some degree of certainty five miles in any direction from any point.
Mapping is uncertain at best. There is a theory of-One Building, one city, one island and you may have seen pictures of it. Perhaps it is called the tower of babel.
if is is true then one could really start to understand the prophecies of the last days. The stars falling from the skies and all of the rest- perhaps we only conceive them-like the rest of the city - to be there as part of our learning process.
if everything is just a bunch of whirling atoms in space then everything is possible.
