They have also broken HIPPA laws...call your local DA and tell them about it...HIPPA violations have much stiffer penalties than civil violations...

That depends on the type of information that was used. Any medical information and treatment information is confidential and may not be shared without your written consent. Payment or billing information, without descriptions of symptoms or treatments are not priviledged. Your address and telephone number are not part of the priviledge information either.
If any patient or medical information was compromised, you may be able to sue the person that compromised that information.

talk to the state attorneys office in your local area and find out what can be done to this person . I know that in most cases it is fraud . anytime a drs office uses your personal info it is fraud . I hope you get the person and they are punished accordingly. good luck .

usually at first doctors apt they will have you sign (release of information) once you've signed it its up for grabs!
