can somebody explain me how do i solve this problem -t/5=9

-t= 9x5
-t= 45
t=-45
(If your dash wasn't a minus sign, then t=45)

If it is t/5=9,
t=5*9
=45

If it is -t/5=9,
t= -45

thats easy t/5=9. First put the nine divided by a one ex/// 9/1 then cross multiply.. you will get 45=5t divide the two and you get nine =t. Hope it helps.

it looks like a division prob.

t (divided by) 5=9.
5x9=45.
so 45/5 =9.
(45 divided by 5 = 9.)

to get rid of the 5 you must multiply both sides by 5

-t = 45

then change signs so : t= -45

this seems impossible to me because either the 5 or the 9 needs to be negative.if there was no negative sign then it would be 45 but...im stumped
